Dailycieux is a prepared meal delivery service offering a subscription-based platform where users can receive weekly boxes containing 6, 8, or more meals, tailored to their dietary preferences and allergens. Initially built using traditional full-code development, the app was rigid and expensive to maintain for a small-sized company. Seeking greater flexibility and scalability, Dailycieux transitioned to a low-code solution on Bubble.io.
Our role was to help expand the feature set, optimize operational workflows, and ensure the app could adapt quickly to the company’s evolving needs.
Key features added include:
• Pause subscription functionality, allowing users to skip a delivery week when needed (e.g., for holidays).
• Internal invoice generation, improving the company’s ability to track orders and financials.
• Custom Stripe integration, offering flexible payment processing and subscription management.
• Enhanced automation via Make.com, connecting every touchpoint (emails, notifications, updates) to allow the founders to easily adjust workflows and expand integrations without technical expertise.
• A more efficient menu management system that simplifies the weekly meal selection and personalization process.

Challenges
Transitioning Dailycieux from a full-code solution to a flexible low-code platform came with several significant challenges. The goal was to ensure that the new system could handle complex order processing, maintain seamless integrations, and improve menu management, all while delivering cost-efficiency and flexibility.
Key challenges included:
• Order Processing System: The platform needed a robust solution for processing orders every Monday morning. This included automatically selecting meals for users who hadn’t made their choices, based on their allergen profiles and dietary preferences. Ensuring this automation worked flawlessly was critical to maintaining customer satisfaction and operational efficiency.
• Integrations with Chronofresh: The delivery of fresh meals required integration with Chronofresh, a specialized delivery service for perishable goods. We needed to ensure that delivery information was passed seamlessly between the app and Chronofresh, tracking each meal box to guarantee safe and timely delivery.
• Menu Management System: We developed a dynamic menu management system that allowed the founders to easily update meal options weekly, including managing allergens, meal preferences, and specific nutritional needs. The system was built to be intuitive and scalable as the number of menu items and customers grew.
By leveraging Bubble.io, we provided Dailycieux with a more cost-effective, scalable solution, giving them the ability to adapt quickly to business needs while significantly lowering development and maintenance costs.
